Heliskiing in Gulmarg - An Attractive Addition to Our Programs

Heliskiing in the Himalayas is a unique experience, featuring super long and varied runs over steep terrain and through stunning deodar and birch forests. The longest runs start above 5,000 meters and descend to altitudes between 2,200 to 2,700 meters. There are only a few heliskiing destinations in the Himalayas, located in India in Himachal Pradesh and Kashmir, as well as in Nepal.

Heli skiing isn’t just for the pros; you'll feel like one when you’re dropped into a valley of fresh powder with only your buddies in sight.

Gulmarg is fortunate to have an extraordinary and reliable abundance of snow. Without diving too deep into scientific details, the vast terrain consistently receives fresh powder snow. The result is the most diverse and exciting terrain for you to ski and ride on. If the weather conditions prevent heli skiing, you can enjoy in-bounds skiing, explore Baba Reshi, visit Srinagar, stay on a houseboat, or simply relax at the hotel. You can also take a hike in the village, play ping pong, or connect to the WiFi and get some work done.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Heliskiing is available from mid January to the end of February.
- It's best to book this program as a group of four (or 8 or 12). This way, you can form your own group in the helicopter.
- If you are solo or a couple, we will do our best to match you with people of similar ability.
- A minimum of three guests in the helicopter is required to operate on any given day.
- The helicopter can also pick you up and drop you off at Srinagar Airport.

Travel, Flights, and Visas

Our guests typically arrange their flights, visa applications, and insurance independently. However, if needed, we can assist you in finding suitable flights. Flights from Europe to Delhi and Srinagar are available with starting prices of approximately GBP 600-700.

When booking domestic flights from Delhi to Srinagar, we recommend departing from the international "Terminal 3". Please allow for a 4-hour layover for connecting flights. If you choose to fly from "Terminal 1", the transfer time between the international "Terminal 3" and the domestic "Terminal 1" is approximately 1 hour.
