The proper gear to ride in the Himalayas
Gulmarg Himalaya Backcountry

When planning a trip to Gulmarg, consider the following factors

Baggage Rules: Check the baggage rules of the airlines you plan to use. Ensure you are aware of baggage allowances and any surcharges for carrying ski or snowboard equipment. We can recommend airlines with the best baggage allowance and conditions for sports equipment transportation.

Limited Availability of Gear: Keep in mind that there is limited availability of skiing and snowboarding gear in Gulmarg. Spare parts and repair or ski service infrastructure may also be lacking.

Traveling with Avalanche Backpacks: If you plan to carry avalanche backpacks, ensure you follow the IATA rules for transporting dangerous goods. Specific guidelines exist for ABS Backpacks and Mammut/Snowpulse Backpacks on airplanes. ABS Backpacks in Airplanes and Mammut/Snowpulse Backpacks in Airplanes
