Guided Off-Piste in Kashmir
We specialize in guiding off-piste skiing and snowboarding in the Gulmarg backcountry, prioritizing safety while seeking the best snow in the area.
Whether you're eager for your first turns in powder, an off-piste expert seeking a challenge, or simply looking to explore the area, our guides lead you to suitable runs with fresh snow. GSL offer guiding for private groups and individuals at all skill levels.
Our guided backcountry days offer a mix of lift access and brief skinning (if appropriate) to access hidden off-piste descents. Routes are weather-dependent and selected based on prevailing conditions. This experience is intended for skiers with off-piste experience, capable of comfortably linking turns in soft, un-groomed snow.

Available: Every day from February 1 to March 9, 2025
Group size: Maximum 4 persons per guide
Duration: We recommend booking 5 or more days of guiding at a time. This allows us to understand your abilities and provide challenges accordingly. Single days are not possible.
Early bookings are recommended
The start time is flexible, with a recommendation of 08:30 to 15:30. The end time is 16:00.
Pricing for the upcoming winter 2024/25 season:
Private groups cost GBP 250 per day for 1–4 people
Public groups cost GBP 80 per person per day
Included:
- Full day of private guiding with GSL local guide

Not Included:
- Ski pass, Jeeps lifts for Babareshi GBP 20 per day
- Avalanche safety equipment (transceiver, shovel, probe, can be rented for GBP 15/kit per day)

Travel, Flights, and Visas
Our guests typically arrange their flights, visa applications, and insurance independently. However, if needed, we can assist you in finding suitable flights. Flights from Europe to Delhi and Srinagar are available with starting prices of approximately GBP 600-700.
When booking domestic flights from Delhi to Srinagar, we recommend departing from the international "Terminal 3". Please allow for a 4-hour layover for connecting flights. If you choose to fly from "Terminal 1", the transfer time between the international "Terminal 3" and the domestic "Terminal 1" is approximately 1 hour.
Please note that most foreign visitors to India require a Tourist Visa. For additional information, visit the Indian Visa Online website.
